Marc Deshenes

Marc Deschenes has been working in the avalanche safety industry for the past 20 years, guiding, educating, and consulting. He is a certified ACMG Ski Guide, a CAA Professional member and Industry Training Program instructor, and the chairman of the CAA's Education Committee. His guiding experience includes heli-skiing, snow-cat skiing and backcountry ski touring. Marc teaches the CAA's Level 1 and 2 and avalanche mapping courses. He also teaches Avalanche Safety Training courses for recreationalists. Marc is also involved in avalanche safety consulting work for ski areas, mechanized and non-mechanized ski operations, mining and highways operations. Marc makes his home in beautiful Nelson, BC and has a family with two young children.
