Shelley grew up in Government Camp and skiing on Mt Hood. She started Wy'East Nordic in 1983, teaching cross country and telemark skiing on Mt Hood. Since 1983, she has run her nationally known summer tele camps at Timberline, and also becoming an examiner and Division Clinic Leader For PSIA NW Telemark.
